Help & FAQ — Parcel Pulse
Last updated: 12 July 2026
Parcel Pulse catches duplicate orders and broken shipping addresses on your own unshipped orders before the label prints. Answers below explain what it does, what data it touches, and how billing works.
What does Parcel Pulse do?
Parcel Pulse runs two deterministic, rule-based checks on your own unshipped orders before a shipping label prints: duplicate-order detection (the same phone across two orders placed within a configurable time window) and shipping-address validation (missing street number, malformed postal code, or invalid phone). It builds a queue of flagged orders for your team to confirm, and can cancel a confirmed duplicate on your explicit click. It is a heads-up tool — you always decide whether to ship.
How do I set it up?
Install Parcel Pulse from the Shopify App Store and open it inside your Shopify admin. It runs its first pre-ship scan automatically after install; from then on you press "Re-scan unshipped orders" from Home before printing a batch of labels. Optionally configure the duplicate window, the phone/email blocklist, and an alert webhook in Settings.
Exactly what order and customer data does it use, and how is it protected?
Parcel Pulse is Protected Customer Data Level 2. It requests only two Admin API scopes — read_orders and write_orders — and does NOT request read_customers. From your own unshipped orders it reads, in memory, the order/shipping phone, the order email (only for the optional blocklist match), the shipping address (street, city, postal code, country), and the order name, total and currency. After the checks run it discards the raw data and stores only PII-minimised flags: the order id/name, a MASKED phone (last 4 digits, e.g. •••• 0192), the issue reasons, and the total/currency. It never stores full addresses, customer names, emails, line items, or raw phone numbers.
Does Parcel Pulse use AI?
No. There is no AI and no third-party model involved. Every flag is a plain, deterministic rule applied to the data already on your order. No customer data is sent to any external service, and no data is ever combined across different merchants.
Does it change my orders or my store?
The only change it can make is cancelling a duplicate order — and only when you explicitly click "Cancel duplicate" on a specific flagged row. That cancellation is cash-on-delivery-safe (no refund, since nothing was charged), restocks the items, and does not email the shopper, and it leaves an auditable staff note. Everything else is read-only.
What is free and what is paid?
Free ($0/month) gives you pre-ship scans, duplicate and address detection, the flagged queue, and up to 200 order validations per 30-day window. Pro ($29/month, 7-day free trial) adds unlimited validations and re-scans, one-click duplicate cancel, the phone/email blocklist with an adjustable window, and a post-scan alert webhook. Scale ($59/month, 7-day free trial) adds multi-rule address policies you switch on in Settings (reject PO boxes, require a real house number, require a callable mobile, custom postal-code length), higher throughput (up to 250 orders per scan), and CSV export of the queue.
What happens to my data if I uninstall, and how do I request deletion?
On uninstall we mark your store uninstalled and remove its derived flags. We honour Shopify's mandatory GDPR webhooks: on a customer-redact request we delete that customer's flagged rows, and on a shop-redact request we delete the store's data. Because we only store masked, PII-minimised flags, there is very little personal data to erase. For any access or deletion request, contact privacy@syncerp.work.
